Pruett, Jr., Managing PartnerMr. Pruett has extensive experience in the creation, acquisition, and management of global financial, educational and Internet marketing ventures financed by leading organizations such as American International Group (AIG), Palmer Partners, Liberty Mutual Group, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Capital Partners, CP Baker and Company, and Fidelity Investments. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Offertrax, an innovative online shopping service, and was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Acadient, a profitable online education company with affiliates including the Boston Institute of Finance and Boston Test Prep. Mr. Pruett was also a founding executive of Insurance.com, America’s largest online insurance distributor funded by Fidelity Investments.
Mr. Pruett has participated as a corporate representative to numerous global trade organizations including the US Department of Commerce Export Now Program, US-Japan Business Council, US-Korea Business Council, and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).
Mr. Pruett graduated with a B.A. (Honors) in International Relations and Political Science from Trinity College in Connecticut, completed advanced studies in international relations and economics at the Cesar Barbieri Center in Rome, Italy, and received his M.B.A. from the École Européenne des Affaires (now ESCP-EAP), a French Grande École located in Paris, France where he graduated as Valedictorian.

Dr. Sandell is a rigorous and analytic thinker with broad operational experience, who understands how to pragmatically apply leading edge technologies to implement innovative business models. He has a history of gaining competitive advantage over larger and better capitalized competitors, enhancing performance through partnerships and outsourcing, streamlining processes, and increasing efficiencies. He has worked with organizations in the financial services, media, education, health care, retail, manufacturing, and transportation industries.
Dr. Sandell recently concluded his tenure as the Chief Operating Officer of Acadient, an e-learning company. A successful turnaround, it has seen rapid growth in an otherwise stagnant industry. Previously, he was a founding executive at Insurance.com, funded by Fidelity Investments and now the largest independent online insurance agency. The Insurance.com web site was covered in a Microsoft case study. Earlier, he co-founded an Internet-focused knowledge management and online publishing venture. He has also held positions with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting (now IBM Global Services), Lotus Development Corporation, and GTE Laboratories.
Dr. Sandell is multi-lingual with solid understanding of European, Latin, Asian, and American perspectives. He earned a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville on a Fulbright grant, and an M.Sc. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
